About Ana Maria Castilla: “Annie Castilla” was born in Barranquilla, Colombia on November 28 1979. Annie was raised in Miami where she completed her studies in Special Education. Her curiosity for art she was born with. But true love for it began at the age of 18 when she traveled to Europe to take a course. Salamanca, Spain was one of places where Annie discovered her passion for painting. When out of classes she would cross the vast plaza mayor of the city. This, brimming with culture, poets artists, and writers, all gathered in those small cafes to discuss the wonders, originality and beauty of art; Annie sat on a bench and read her favorite book. In her spare time, she traveled to Madrid, Rome and Florence where she visited many museums and admired works closely, works that she had carefully studied in Art History class. Today, Annie is dedicated to her home and works with children with special needs. She is passionate about her job as well as the issue of Indigenous people of Colombia and the value they possess in spirituality. Each of her paintings tells a story, reflecting sorrows, joys, and philosophies of life. For the artist, the respect and love with all that surrounds us are the essence of our spiritual existence.

About Michelle Villalobos: Founder of The Women’s Success Summit, Creator of Make Them BEG, Winner of the 2013 Miami Herald Business Plan Challenge and Contributing Author: Building The Ultimate Network, with Dr. Ivan Misner. Michelle Villalobos is based in Miami, FL and travels nationally & internationally to consult on brand strategy and deliver workshops, seminars & keynotes, especially for women’s groups and companies marketing to women. Michelle is also an accomplished artist. Her current series, the “Hollywood Series” is a concept where forgotten materials – and the stories and images they contain – are given new life. There’s also the parallel that whatever is pictured (the person, the flower) is long gone, but can be enjoyed again through these materials, so it comes full circle: these subjects and materials get a second life in the pieces.

Also showing will be Sebastian Murillo, from Colombia. Sebastian is based in Colombia but travels to Miami each year for Art Basel as his following of local collectors create the opportunity for his highly anticipated annual exhibits.
